Child Tax Credit - CTC Calculator

The 2021 Child Tax Credit was a refundable tax credit. This calculator not only informs you if a person qualifies as a dependent on your 2021 Tax Return, but also if you qualify for the Child Tax Credit or the Other Dependent Credit. Based on the age of the qualifying dependent as of December 31, 2021, you will see if they qualify as a dependent, the estimated amount of the Child Tax Credit you can expect, the estimated Credit for Other Dependents, and the Child and Dependent Care Credit amount.

Important: the enhanced 2021 CTC amounts and qualifications do not apply for 2022. We are updating this tool to reflect these changes.
